Whitney's Aliases and Other Notes
People have accused the woman known as Selina Kyle (or Natasha Alexandrov or any number
of other aliases) of having ice water in her veins. They're wrong. Ice water is still
liquid whereas her blood is much, much colder.
Selina is very charismatic in a Garbo-esque way. She's the ice queen men want 
to try to thaw out. Her
passionate urges are tempered by an almost inhuman self-control. She hates governments,
organized religion and almost any large organization or bureaucracy with every fiber of
her being, though that isn't known. Selina is a true predator and only her sense of
discretion and self-preservation prevent her from leaving a trail of dead bodies
everywhere she goes. She is the consumate professional and has been a freelance agent for
numerous governments, under a variety of names and code names. However, she has a strict
personal code that keeps her from working both sides. For instance, because she's done a
number of jobs for Israel, the only way she would take an assignment for an Arab country
would be if it had nothing to do with Israel. This odd loyalty and her abilities
mean that she is very respected within the espionage community, even though her work has
done has been attributed to multiple people (various aliases of hers). While she has a
ego, this odd anonymity pleases rather than bothers her.
"Selina" lives under the name Whitney Blaze and carefully keeps that name
separate from her espionage activities. Supposedly, Whitney Blaze is an American runway
model who runs with the jet set and lives in Switzerland. She specializes in modeling the
absurd fashions and hairdos that hide part or all of the model's face. Today's supermodels
dislike wearing those outfits, so Whitney's specialty makes her the designer's darling
without being publically well known. She does not do fashion photography. She is, however,
a master of disguise. In fact, she abandoned her real name so long ago that if given a
split second choice to die or reveal it, her mind is very likely to go blank. Names mean
nothing to her, and she has gone numerous IDs over the years.
Not quite two years ago, Whitney became involved with Damien
Bonaire, a jet set antique dealer. For reasons she has never really analyzed,
she has dropped much of her guard around him. He is the one person in the world who knows
as much of the real her as is possible without confessing her other profession, which she
has not done. They've never discussed their relationship but practically live with each
other, though they alternate between their various residences as needed. In reality, he is
the first person she has loved since her parents died, but she has not recognized this
fact yet. It will be interesting when she does.
