Carmen Angelina Maria Navarro grew up in a small town in rural Columbia that was often in the middle of fighting between various drug factions. At 13, she was part of a group rounded up by one drug gang/guerrilla group and given a choice: Work with them or die. Carmen chose life and spent the next six years fighting, transporting and defending their drug shipments. On a trip into Medellin, she stumbled across the body of a young woman who had been mugged and killed. The robber took the woman's cash but missed her travel documents, hotel room key and one credit card. Since they had similar coloring, Carmen seized the opportunity to get out of a dead-end
existence, stole the documents, went to the woman's room, took what she wanted and boarded her flight to California. She also did a cash
withdrawal and maxed out the credit card before destroying it and the other I.D. It wasn't hard to
charm her way, person by person, to a meeting with Rico,
who obtained new I.D. for her as Cristina Delgado. She worked a few menial jobs while she learned more English.
Since then, she has worked hard and gradually done better for herself in America while living in Miami and trying to keep out of trouble.
Recently, Rico caught up with her again and offered her an opportunity
to make $10,000 in a weekend while helping get him out of trouble.
Since he didn't threaten to blackmail her, she agreed, against her better
judgment. Since then she has helped Rico and Juan a few times on various
non-Agency assignments.
