Alexandra Masters is probably one of the nicest people around. Kind, considerate, very down to earth, compassionate but won’t coddle people. She’s very honest, won’t park illegally (unless it’s a genuine emergency) and volunteers with various charities. So how did she end up in such a nasty business?

Alex was a Secret Service agent, but she gradually became more frustrated with reports of sexism and racism in other branches of federal law enforcement, as well as general government ineptitude and immorality. Alex joined the Secret Service to make a difference and didn’t feel she was doing that any more, so she left and started her own bodyguard agency in New York City. Griffin Guardians specializes in providing VIPs and business people with attractive escorts who are also skilled, but discreet, bodyguards. Alex in particular has a very strict no fraternization policy in regard to clients. Eventually, a former colleague, Federal Marshal Greenlaw, recommended her when George Yamaha, a member of covert ops, needed extra protection. Due to her previous government clearance, she was the perfect for the assignment. Since then, she has not only bodyguarded George several times, but also protected Special Agent Augustus Freeman during the Michael Mueller coup attempt. Alex isn’t officially a member of covert ops, but they call on her when they need her.
